The Real Jane Martin is an acoustic rock duo from Chicago, IL. Musician-songwriters Mark Burns and Allen Rein, friends since their days together at Actors Theatre of Louisville, formed TRJM in 2006.

Allen tends to overthink things. Mark is allergic to gluten, which means no pancakes. Neither can agree on what is to be considered "proper attire." Brewing conflicts, such as these, promise to be the source of explosive tension between the two and will inevitably lead to a messy break up, farewell tour, tearful reconciliation and profitable reunion tour.

Update April 2008: In a stunning turn of events, Mark found out he actually isn't allergic to gluten and now can't meet a pancake he won't eat.  Allen, disgusted over Mark's food antics, launches solo tour.

Update May 2008: Allen adds Mark as guitarist and back up vocalist on solo tour.
